For seven years, our association has managed to bring a bit of warmth into the homes of our fellow human beings in need. And we do it with your support, beautiful people! And this year we have again started a fundraising campaign to buy firewood. For many families in Botoșani, nothing is more useful in this period than providing a means of heating the home. Any help counts enormously. May your hearts be good!Thank you to all those who, by the grace of God, have helped to provide two more families with wood for the rest of the winter. Yesterday, 27.01.2022, thanks to the financial efforts of those who supported our association's campaign, a family from Dragalina and a single mother with four children from Hlipiceni received firewood. As every year for the past six years, we are back with our firewood fundraising campaign.
Because winter waits for no man and the cold knows no mercy, we have restarted fundraising for families in need. Nothing is more helpful at this time of year than providing a means of heating the home. And for our fellow human beings in need, firewood is a priority.

May your hearts be good, dear ones!We thank God for working again through beautiful people who have supported us in our endeavor to bring a little warmth into the homes of our fellow man!Who would have thought at the beginning of the campaign that we would be able to bring almost 20 tons of firewood for families in need?But, here we are, the Romanians have shown again that they are in solidarity with their neighbours, the Romanians have shown again that they care.Thank you to everyone who helped make this happen! A few photos from the last six families to whom we took wood for the winter.Let us warm the cave of our soul with the fire of love for God and neighbour, so that we may receive our Saviour Jesus Christ as He should be received!May the Feast of the Nativity of our Lord Jesus Christ be a time of joy, light and peace of mind!

May your hearts be good, my dears!Just as we promised after the elections, with God's help, we have managed to restart our branch's work in full force.We insulated the walls of a house in the village of Balta Arsă, Corni commune, where a family with 3 children lives.I have done the measurements for the purchase of a new door for a container house where a little girl and her grandmother live.We have started fundraising for the purchase of firewood for needy families.I would like to remind you that we still need everyone's support to carry out our actions.The data of our association are: association Botoșnean Shield, account RO78 BRDE 070S V402 1863 0700, opened at BRD Botoșani.Please specify the action you would like to support: the house at Balta Arsă, the container house or wood for winter.Together we can bring more joy!

On a day when winter began to take more and more hold, biting the ice with its teeth, the Botoșani branch of the Orthodox Fraternity "St. George the Bearer of Victory" mobilized to bring a little warmth into the homes of some people in need. The brothers and sisters from Botoșani donated firewood for 4 families in the county. We would like to thank all those who supported us (financially and otherwise) and through whom God worked in His great love. In the year in which we celebrate 100 years of the Great Union, this charitable action demonstrates once again that unity of deed is the path we must follow to be reborn as a people. Lord, have mercy on our Romanian Nation!

Update 16 December 2016
With God's help today, December 16, we travelled from Brasov and Tg. Mures 11 brothers to Doamnei Monastery in Harghita county to give a hand to a small nuns' obstet. I can say that we left the beginning with a doubt thinking that we could not do much work because of the long time lost on the road plus we had to return home sooner. We don't know what happened but something was superhuman. I confess that in the dozens of work camps where we have split wood, nowhere have we had to split wood that long (about a meter long). And when we saw how many we had to split, we all got a bit discouraged. But a power from Above was with us because at the end of the 4 hours of work we all marvelled at what God was doing with us. Praise God for everything. We learned a good lesson today - God was with us ....

The joy of giving!With God's help, we managed to mobilize and bring a ray of hope to two families in need, now in the run-up to winter. And as God works through people, with the combined efforts of Brother Ion (he knows too well), Neculăeș Andrei, Deică Ionuț, Pascal Marius, Podovei Ciprian and Andradei, we brought firewood to the Istrate and Dascălu families. The Istrate family is a family with 10 children aged between 1 and 17. The Dascălu family has 5 children aged between 5 months and 13 years. Delia Dascălu, the 13 year old girl, has managed to win the first prize every year, even though the family has been without electricity for 5 years (the case of the Dascălu family was also reported in the local press). We thank God that we were able to help them and pray that we can continue to do good deeds for our fellow human beings in need. God help us, Romanian brothers!
