REGULATIONS OF THE PLASTIC ARTS COMPETITION \"THE HOLY PRISONERS\", 5th EDITION, BOTO\u0218ANI, 2022 The Orthodox Theological High School \"Saint George\" through the specialized plastic arts teacher, Mrs. C\u0103t\u0103lina Felicanu, in partnership with the plastic artist Mrs. Aida \u0218u\u0219ter-Bo\u021ban, together with Mr. Bogdan C\u0103r\u0103u\u0219u, the Boto\u0219ani Children's Palace and the Boto\u0219ani County Museum are organizing: the PLASTIC ARTS COMPETITION \"THE HOLY PRISONERS\" with the theme \"THE HOLY PRISONERS\". Aim: The competition aims to attract as many students as possible from schools and high schools in the city of Boto\u0219ani and Boto\u0219ani county to make known the recent history of Romania and develop a sense of belonging to this nation. Objectives: a. To discover and develop visual skills.b. To stimulate students' expressiveness and creativity.c. To document the subject for a better knowledge of the aspects that shaped the framework of communist prisons. Awareness of the present as an effect of the past.d. Cultural awareness and artistic expression through visual arts.e. Valuing constructive experience in the approach to artistic creation.Partners: Boto\u0219ani County School Inspectorate, \"Boto\u0219ani Shield\" Association, Boto\u0219ani County Museum, visual education teachers.The competition is addressed to students from V-VIII and IX-XII classes in Boto\u0219ani, and is structured in four sections and two age groups: a.(V-VIII), b.(IX-XII).Participants will create works in techniques specific to fine arts: * 2D working techniques - ink, charcoal, tempera, gouache, watercolor, acrylic colors, oil colors, pastel, colored chalk, mixed technique. *3D working techniques - sculpture or relief (polymer clay, ceramics, plaster, wood, etc.). Size of works: A3, A2, A1 for 2D compositions in colour and maximum 50* cm for 3D compositions and relief (*variable sizes for height, length and width)A maximum of two works per student is allowed regardless of the technique.Entries must be sent to the Children's Palace Botosani, 19 Mihail Kog\u0103lniceanu Street, 710185, Boto\u0219ani (to the attention of Mrs. C\u0103t\u0103lina Felicanu) by 23 May 2022, with the following written on the back of the entry: name and surname of the author, class, educational unit, locality, title of the work, technique, name and surname of the supervising teacher, contact telephone number.The works will be judged by a jury of visual artists, a representative of the Orthodox Church, a representative of the \"Boto\u0219\u0103nean Shield\" Association and an iconographer. The judging will be done in two categories: A. students from theoretical schools and high schools and B. students from vocational high schools. The participants will be judged on their respect for the subject matter, originality, the strength of the message and the ability to convey it, expressiveness, execution of the work, etc. The work of the participants from classes IX-XII must be framed or pasted for a suitable display. The best works will be awarded in the above-mentioned categories, as follows: First Prize, Second Prize, Third Prize, First Mention, Second Mention, Third Mention, Participation Diplomas. Prizes worth a total of 1500 lei, including cash prizes and materials for creative work.The awards will take place on 2 June 2022 at the Boto\u0219ani County Museum, on the occasion of the opening of the exhibition with the most successful works entered in the competition.
